hello people.
I just pick up a super 8mmSankyo LXL-225 and know nothing about it. I saw it at the thrift store for 20 bucks and knew it was "old school." I would like to get into cinematography, but i dont know much about it. Any information about anything, would help and would be appreciated.
I would like to know any and everything about the camera that I purchased. Since it did not come with a book, I'm kind of in the dark. Are there any tricks or tips to make quality shots? Im sure I have a lot of questions, and I dont know what they are yet, but Im sure someone out there knows the answers. You can e-mail me at: lilnick97@hotmail.com
Thank you for your time

You have got yourself one of the better cameras out there with this purchase. I,too, scan flea markets and thrift stores and find these gems. As far as getting to know your camera, look online and do a search for that camera model and include the word"manual" and see what comes up. Getting a manual for a particular camera really comes in handy when it comes to all the operations of it but a little trial and error doesn't hurt either. When you do get ready to shoot, run a test cartridge and send it in as soon as possible to see what adjustments need to be made. But most of all, have FUN with your new found treasure. And welcome to the world of SUPER 8. I hope this helps get you started. Mark
