I don't know if this is true (which is why I'm putting this question here in the message board), but I read somewhere that, depending on whether a Beaulieu camera was made to be sold in the US or Europe, the detent on the frame rate knob could be either 24 fps (for US cameras) or 25 fps (for European cameras). Does anyone know if this is true? At the moment I'm thinking about purchasing a Beaulieu camera, so this is definitely something I'll want to take into consideration when shopping around.
Thanks!

There was no difference between any of the produced cameras for US market or other, regarding the 24 and 25 setting.
On 2008 and early 4008 there was 25f/sec printed on speedscale but on later cameras, like 4008ZMII this print was changed to 24f/sec. The speed is easy to adjust for a Beaulieu-technician. from 24 to 25 or vice versa.

Hi Bjorn!
I will most likely have my 4008zmII camera adjusted to 25fps. The reason why I'm doing so is to get a more accurate WorkPrinter 3 transfer to video. I'm running a transfere service and I can easily see the benefits. Two questions though:
- How accurate is the 25fps mode say on a 10sec recording?
- Can a 25fps modified camera be compared with Crystal Sync 25fps, or is Crystal Sync 25fps far more reliable?
Thanks,
Andreas

This setting on the speedknob is not so exact as a crystal synk. The crystal synk unit gives tha camera exactly 25 f/sec +-0,00. The speedknob dont have a precise click stop, the speed can change from one setting to next if you change it in between. The speed is steady but it can drift a bit. It´s very difficult to say how many seconds you can stay in sync.
