canon ds 8 c8 wide angle adapter

Hello took the dive & got the canon ds8 zoom , really nice ! A heavy beast of a camera .
is there a way of using a c8 wide angle adapter / did canon make one for this lens ?
As all I can find is a tele adapter .

AFAIK all versions of the C8 require a camera-lens with macro mode on the widest angle.

There are some third party wide angle adapters for lenses that don’t have a macro mode.

Hello jpolzfuss , Any idea which thrid party wide angle adapter would work ? or am I looking at a needle in a haystack !

But I have not tried it myself!

If I remember correctly, then its rear thread is 52mm. So your camera should have a 52mm filter thread or smaller (larger might cause vignetting).

There are also several wide angle adapters from Raynox that are large enough and that don’t seem to require a macro, e.g. this one:
