Hi,
i have an old Sennheiser with three pin DIN plug. I want to change the Din plug for a stereo mini plug (3.5mm). Problem is I don't know where to connect the red wire and where to connect the white one; to the contact in the middle or at the side(of the minijack)? There are only two wires coming from the microphone. Apparantly no grounding) The microphone is the sennheiser type on which one can put the modules (me 80/me 40)

Hello,
ithink it is simple.
With DIN plug, Ground is connected to the middle pin of the three (mono), or the five (stereo), hot pin to one of the side (left or right is in or out). No cold pin, this kind of plug is unbalanced.
Mini jack : in the middle, hot pin. At the side, ground. (unbalanced too).
I think this kind of mikes need a battery in for working.
good luck
