NORDMENDE FLYING SPOT SCANNER.

Post by kjellpell »

Just finished reading the article about the Nordmende Flying Spot Scanner. Yes, it was unique in that it was the only Flying Spot Scanner made for the PAL-system, but it was not made in the 60's but it came on to the market mid/late 70's. For the NTSC-market KODAK had already made a Flying Spot Scanner a little earlier. These machines were good at that time, but today neither of them "come up to standard". Their signal is analogue, horisontal resolution around 300 lines, and a low S/N ratio. As it is said in the article, you are much better off using a digital video-camera.
