I recently purchased a Bauer s715 XL (haven't received it yet) and am getting ready to embark on a Super 8 shooting spree. My question is this:
Is the light meter in this camera adequate to get good, accurate exposures or should I also invest in a separate light meter?
If yes, to a light meter, I need a recommendation. Nothing extravagent, something around the $150 on eBay price. The Sekonic L-308 for instance, seems to be a reasonable price.
Thanks
Is a light meter a necessity?

An often neglected use for a good light meter is to check the stability of the camera meter. Make a habit of checking the camera meter against the light meter every so often, using a grey card or similar subject. The camera meter should read about a stop lower than the light meter. If this difference changes, check out the next bit of film to make sure exposure is correct.
