I'm considering sending my exposed k40 for my music video direct to Switzerland by DHL courier (for speed and safety).
Does anyone know if customs are more likely to x-ray a courier package than a postal package and if so, does it affect the film?
Thanks for your help

Not sure about the X-raying heloise. With my last K40 roll, Instead of putting the UK adress on the mailer, i addressed it direct to the Swiss lab, so im hoping it comes back real quick.
Let me know how you get on with courier-ing to switzerland!
simon.

When I travelled to Japan recently I was concerned about the x-raying of my stuff which included some carts with Fuji 500T so asked the staff to avoid the x-ray but they told me that the machine at OSLO AP was safe up to 1600 ISO.
I thought NO but said YES and let go.
Do not know the result until later.
If true k40 should not be affected though.
A OT side note on airport security.
A while ago I drove someone form a far away land to the airport and had quite good time so I decided to stop at the side of a motorway outside the end of the runway to see the plane take off.
Finsihed I was preparing to drive away and then comes this policemotoecycleman with the blue light on up to my car and I opened the window and asked what the problem was? He told me that a "corteche" with a foreign state head was going to pass by and the P man told me that my car (Astro Van with black windows) was looking particulary suspicious - it was just the kind of car they were keen to observe. Perfect for guerilla attacks on a passing corteche?
I told him I could leave but I was then ordered to stay put accompanied by the P-man until they had passed at very high speed.
This car is really fancy for calling police attaraction. Some of my service customers are banks and I often back the car up to the bank main entrance (or other supicious places) and park it there for some time - often after closing hours at night time. Numerous times I have been suspiciously treated I can tell.
Now - that was todays off topic.

..tnx for reminding me Michael Lehnert.... or Santo or.... cinematography.com super8 - the forum of Rednex, Wannabees and Pretenders...
I've put Kodak TMax 3200 through several US airports (where they are currently x-raying like crazy - understandable increase in security) without any noticable problems.
I really don't think that K40 will be affected.
You might find if you use lead containers or even tin foil that the authorities get suspicious because they can see that you are hiding the contents of your package.
