Projection Problems - Help!

Post by Technicolor »

Hey everyone,

Today I got a an old super8 release print with sound to try out with my sound projector and I'm having a problem with projection. On my projector (and I belive with all super 8 projectors) the sproket holes of the film as it enters the projector are supposed to be on the right hand side as you face the screen. The reel of film had not be rewound so I did this but the film is still the "wrong" way round in terms of te sprocket holes.
Now when I place the reel onto the front arm of the projector the sprocket holes are on the wrong side, what am I doing wrong?!

Cheers

(PS) I've also managed to snap the film #-o ](*,) Oh well, time to try out my new splicer!

Actually dont worry, I've sorted it out. Just me being thick!

I've also managed to succesfully repair the film, after a few practise attempts on a bit of leader of course!
