Fomapan R-100 reg 8 roll 2 sound sync

Post by studiocarter2 »

This is the first shot synced so far. Developing is smoother with more chemicals, focus is better with more light, more claps made sound sync easier. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2eKREMhzhIk

Michael

Pretty amazing! Sync sound at 16fps. Looks good, your developing has improved noticeably. How many rolls can you get out of one Fomapan reversal kit?

Thanks for writing, David, yes a lot of improvements have been made. This film was dusted off with canned air before processing and cleaned with Filmrenew before having it scanned. 1200ml of chemicals are required or half the reversal kit using the upb1A tank. That got rid of the flickering from the low level of liquid.
I only tried to process 2 rolls in one kit. Some fixer went unused and of course fix may be used over and over. Perhaps the clearing bath, too? I don't know. I dumped it all just to be consistent. That first developer was used twice according to directions, but only for one roll.
Roll #3 was developed using different chemicals, not the reversal kit, but mixed according to the tech sheet. Fomadon LQR worked great and is cheap. It looks good. That may be less expensive.

Takes 2 & 3 were done, but only the second was uploaded to YouTube, I may or may not upload any more. If anyone wants to see more let me know
