Approaching 6 Years Since End of Kodachrome Processing

Post by silverhalide »

12/30/10 (or 1/18/11, if you want to get technical about it)

Still makes me sad to think about it.

Here's one of my last rolls: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvMgGpcSNIo

Got the T-Shirt.

I miss the slide film just as much as the Super 8. But I loved the 16mm the best. Loved projecting that!

I second that Will, nothing more fun than projecting 16mm Kodachrome! The anniversary of its' final demise bums me out. I have a new roll of 16mm Kodachrome left over that I never got to film with. I was saving it for something special to film then I got laid up and was unable to shoot it in time. Lesson learned, shoot film while you can.

Here's the NBC News story on Kodachrome's demise, from 12/30/10 broadcast. Dwayne's gals told me they were there on 12/29/10.
