Super 8 Film Pricing

Post by Will2 »

B&H Photo in NYC and Adorama in NYC is selling Super 8 50D for $34.95. Kodak sells isn't listing it on their Kodak Store site on the internet but you can purchase directly through the 800 number for $24.95.

So ordering through Kodak gives you 1/3rd off? Not sure how retailers can make any money with Super 8. Must mean that Kodak isn't discounting for retailers as all either.

I've always thought the same thing. Aside from the convenience of buying it locally, I've never bought it from any other than Kodak. I guess there's enough people buying super 8 without knowing about the 800 # to sustain a retail mark up?
