I was an early adapter of digital, but also never left analog. One does not preclude the other. A few weeks ago I shot 3CCD miniDV video for a major multi-day art event, this weekend I'll be developing C-41, 35mm and 110! And I'm on this forum because of my old 16mm family films and my "new" 16mm camera.
Before he died, Ansel Adams was shown the new digital photography. I don't recall any exact words, but if I had to paraphrase what I read, it's "Mr. Adams had a huge grin on his face and then started giggling." He approved.

I have always been a great believer in old tech + new tech. I too use analogue cameras, I have quite a collection. Anyhow what got me going again is the ease of scanning the negatives. I was definitely not a fan of enlarging, especially spotting which is a doddle on even a basic photo programme. I even do a bit of b&w film processing although colour film processed elsewhere is easier. Not sure about rest of world but her in the UK a chain called 'Poundland', everything £1 sells AGFA 24 200 asa film at £1 a roll. I notice in my local store that the pile does go down and is re-stocked so there are obviously quite a few users out there.
Wishfully wonder if they might acquire a pile of movie film, but no such luck. Peobably Kodachrome if they did!!

the good old way with my own hand's , it's called skill and craftmanship , becoming a rare thing in this age .

I shoot more stills on film than digital. I shoot many different formats, 110, 127, 135, 116, 120, 616, 620, 4x5, Polaroid Pack Film, SX-70 and 600. I even shoved some Kodachrome Regular 8mm into a subminiature Hit camera and managed to get a few black and white images. I develop all my black and white film myself and scan the negatives. Like Wahiba I send my color film to a lab for processing. The Black and White process I use is called Semi-Stand and it's very easy. It uses a very dilute mix of developer (Rodinal) at 1-100. You let it stand for an hour then fix it. You can develop any film as black and white this way, even Kodachrome.
By the way, today is World Wide Pinhole Day, I'll be out shooting a roll of 116 in a camera I modified into a pinhole. The lens was bad so I removed it and put a pinhole in its place.

I use my phone for pictures out of convenience or just because i can, but all of my serious pics are on film. I actually get hired to shoot stills on film more than motion pic.
Has anyone tried Cinestill? It's V3 500T and 50D loaded into still canisters.

I shot a roll of Cinestill 800T, it's ok, I prefer Ektar 100 for color but will probably stick with Fujifilm X-Tra 400 or Portra 400 for a faster color film.
