Hi
I just got an issue with my Sniper HD pro, but the same issue could be with a Workprinter or even a Cinemate I guess.
After finishing converting a 50ft reel, as part of a batch, any new film I am feeding through is not transporting anymore. It is not budging and the advance claw keeps going, but the film doesn't.
Anyone has had that type of issue before?
I have attached an image of the inside of the device, in case anyone may have some feedback, or some knowledge on gaf projectors, from which these are built.
What I suspect might be happening is that through wear and tear (the brown oval piece in the centre maybe), the claw is not being pushed far enough any longer, to successfully transport the film.
I tried to adjust the gate's setting but no luck.
I do have another gaf projector here from which I could take parts if needs be.
I know the take up system on Moviestuff machines, as well as the light source are modified, but from what I can see, the claw/ transport seems to be pretty similar.
One difference I see is that the advance claw itself (long piece of metal running from the left of the framer to the film) is loose on the Moviestuff unit but fixed on the original gaf projector, via a small spring.
Any advice would be great, as I need to scan reels urgently.
Thank you for your advice/help

The spring at the back is broken. Simple fix. I will email you a photo.

Thanks Roger. Sorted with a spare spring I had.
As the end of the spring was broken off, there wouldn't be any way to reattach it even with pliers I guess.
Where could I guess another replacement spring for the Gaf I took it out of?
Anyone has a broken gaf somewhere? Or could I get this from another broken projector maybe?

You don't need a new spring. As noted in my email to you, all you have to do is put a new "hook" in the end of the spring with a pair of pliers and then attach to the claw arm like normal.
