A Movie Worth Watching: The Imitation Game

Post by S8 Booster »

unfortunately another WWII movie which seems promising though.... The Imitation Game. (mentioned by Andreas in a different thread)
when the brits constructed the worlds first computer to crack the German Enigma coded messages....

trailer: http://youtu.be/Sn-7SNrQWMo

now, how was that possible? well when every message alternately starts with "Heil Hitler" or "Wettervorhersage" (weather forecast) it should opt for a good start..

later the japanese code system was cracked too.

some says the war was shortened by 3-4 years due to code/encryption cracking.

well, light my film strip....
