Greetings,
Has anyone used a Nizo ultrawide lens on a Nizo camera? I have a few questions:
Do you just put the camera lens at the widest setting, or do you have to go into macro mode?
Does it really work with no distortion or abberation, or does it degrade the final image quality?
Thanks,
Al

I played with a Nizo 6080 and a Nizo Ultra Wide III once.Big Al wrote:Has anyone used a Nizo ultrawide lens on a Nizo camera? I have a few questions:
From what I have heard and the one that I have used macro mode is required, on the 6080 it had a special UWA macro setting that you had to use when using the wide angle lens, you then had to focus to put the focus ring to infinity and the zoom all the way past wide angle (in the macro area). With the UWIII on a 6080 the lens become 3mm which has enough depth of field that you no longer need to focus.Big Al wrote: Do you just put the camera lens at the widest setting, or do you have to go into macro mode?
I havent seen any footage actually shot with it but it seemed to work fine, the only problem I saw with it was that the lens element stuck out further than the built in lens shade and the lights I was near caused some flaring. This problem could easily be solved with only minor ghetto rigging. The lens was REALLY wide, and would definatly be something I would want to have if I had one of these cameras, especially for hand held work or anytime I planned on shooting in small rooms.Big Al wrote: Does it really work with no distortion or abberation, or does it degrade the final image quality?
