Aurora Tele for 8mm Movie

Post by Will2 »

I found this lens in the back of a drawer and can't figure out what camera it belongs to.

Looks like an f 1.9 1.5" that focuses from 3.5 feet to 30 feet & Infinity. Tiny little screw mount that is obviously for an 8mm camera (D-mount?), just not sure what camera has this mount. Might be a chance that the mount removes to reveal something larger... It's very clean, heavy for it's small size and has a wonderful metal screw on lens cover.

Very nice! How do you know it's not a C mount?

Hard to tell from the photo but the screw is about 1/2" across so about 1/3rd smaller than a c-mount...

1/2" sounds like D mount telephoto lens. It should fit any D mount double 8mm camera like Bolex and many others.
