hello there,
I got out the old movikon the other day and was going to use the wide angle "movigonar" attachment and was wondering if any one out there in movieland knows where the lens should be set at with this attachment mounted? Should I just use scale focusing as if it wasn't there? Or is there a median setting where all will be in focus? I noticed on the lens barrel of the camera there is a large red dot at the .2 meter setting and also a small red dot between the 2 meter and infinity setting...
perhaps this is a reference for when the telephoto or wide angle attachments are mounted? Any guesses or help would be most appreciated!

Hi,
it looks like there's a special viewfinder for the movigonar: http://www.blende-und-zeit.sirutor-und- ... 6&thread=1
According to markings on the viewfinder I would guess that you'll have to set the camera's focus to the red-dot-position. (It would guess that you'll have to use the red dot at 2m.)
It looks like you can order manuals here:
English (separate manuals for the camera and the attachments): http://www.craigcamera.com/ib_wxyz.htm
German (camera only): http://www.kameramuseum.de/1-anleitunge ... kon-8.html
Good luck and have fun with the camera!
