Halo
I got a Bolex L8 from the flee market. After some cleaning and oil I got it to work but don´t have any manual.
What is the shutter speed at 24 fps?
If I read on internet it say thet it shuld not have a D mount lens. The thing is that my lenses from D8L fit this one to. Even the included lens fits my D8L.
There was a Yvar 12.5mm f/2.8 with fix focus included.
Can I use my D8l lenses on this one to?
It is from late 1950 acording to the serial number.

As I know it is same screw size as D mount lenses, but it needs an adapter for D mount lenses because the flange focus distance Of L8 is shorter than later models.

the speed dial of bolex mechanic cameras are not same as other electronic cameras. therefore the speed changing is continued, which means you could get any speed in between 12 to 32 fps. the written numbers are just to tell user where should stop to turn the dial.

Re: Shutter speed of Bolex L8 late model
Is there any way to check so I do this in right speed? Optimal would be 25 fps.
I'm thinking if using a recorder and in computer listen to how many times the shutter close and open.
Maybe I make things a bit to complicated some times haha
Just love this small cameras but have not made any own film with it yet.
Greeting
Fredrik

I did a recording with a H4n.
This is second played slowly as 4 seconds.
As far as I can see it is around 25 fps.
This is without film so mabey it is closer to 24 with film?
I shuld get a film to test from the fleemarket.
