Elmo GS 1200 lamp

[Who knows if you can use the 24V 200W EWF lamp in this projector instead of the original ESC. It is more available and cheaper. If not please explain why][/stickan]

The ESC lamp was designed specifically for the small aperture of the Super 8 gate and therefore puts more light onto the screen. It appears production of these lamps recently ceased so we may find we all have to source alternatives. I believe the EJL is the alternative but this doesn't put nearly as much light out but is cheaper. You may find the lamp you suggest actually works.

The EWF lamp IS NOT for the Elmo gs1200. This lamp gives a very little light! The problem for this lamp is the mirror. The right lamp was the ESC: I bought it from a store in GB. It comes from "Radiacs" (a Japan factory), but I think the EJL of General Electric (24 v. 200 w.) works better. I measured the lux on the screen and the EJL is the best. Buy it!

post scriptum: don't use the ELC (24 v. 250 w.).
