You've always do a nice pairing of music & images. I like how you continue to explore every aspect of biking culture in your work. If you aren't already, you should be posting your film links on biking message boards. I think its a good strategy for independent filmmakers to build up a reel of work that is linked in subject, theme or style. Builds an audience and eventually you'll have an hour or more of short works which means you've made a show reel that can be programmed.

Another very cool W I D E film! Very rich contrast. What stock to you shoot?
I have a Singer 16D anamorphic for my Elmo ST1200HD I'm trying to figure out how to adapt it to a couple of my cameras for the W I D E look! My main interest is scenic/ time lapse.

What are the changes to made on a Bolex H8 REX (1962), so that it can turn in Ultrapan8?
In addition to the exposer window and the view finder, It should also, I suppose, change the adapter plate lenses to increase the focal length of 2.2 mm and focus it on the middle of the width of the exposed film?

Thank you, Woods01. Bicycles and bike culture are an ongoing aspect of my life. I am a former bike messenger of 12 years with approximately 240,000 km on my tires. I am deeply connected to a global/local bike community and their associated social media, forums, etc. Roller blades would be an exciting addition to shooting bike polo. I enjoy great access to these events whereby I am now a familiar sight chasing cyclists on skates if need be. You can catch a glimpse of my skating technique in this small doc from this year's Ice Cycle 2014. UP8 footage forthcoming, i.e.

Thanks, James.
It was the now defunct Ektachrome 100D. No anamorphic compression is used as the camera is a custom Bolex UltraPan8 2.8 camera which utilizes the full 16mm width and 8mm pulldown of Regular 8mm film. Alot of detail is available under the About tab on my public Facebook page, i.e. https://www.facebook.com/UltraPan8WidescreenFilm
The Bolex camera has a plethora of time lapse equipment available. Probably the largest. Check out the superb Clive Tobin units.

Re: Latest UltraPan8 2.8 film "bikepolis!"
HI Joel Pierre,
Alot of info is available under the About tab on my public Facebook page, i.e. https://www.facebook.com/UltraPan8WidescreenFilm. I seem to recall that I have previously communicated with you regarding a conversion. Nevertheless, please contact Jean-Louis Seguin directly at bolextech@gmail.com for conversion specifics and cost. There is no modification to the lens mount per se nor re-centering required for the Regular 8 film based UP8 2.8 format.
