Negative Cutting for 16mm

Post by bigsteve1635 »

Professional Negative Cutting ltd is now closed but I am still negative cutting here in Tonbridge as a sole trader.

What I need to know is were I can get some short 16mm ends to process to clear eastman base for fades to black and for general ( once printed) black spacing.

I can get it processed.

Still running OSC\r and Film Fusion software, OSC\r is so old it runs in lower 640K of DOS memory on a 486 DX2 computer from the early 1980's

Film Fusion is much better as it allows me to cut negative to EDL or work print in 16mm @ 24 or 25 fps or 35mm 2, 3 or 4 perf in PAL or NTSC

It found the can and footage location of about 3200 shots in the final work print edit in the 1.6 million feet of shot 35mm negative on Batman Begins in about 20 seconds.

Look like a great forum for an old school tech like me.

Steve
