Looking for suggestions on processing Tri-X Super 8 as a neg

I am hand processing the current Tri-X Super 8mm as a negative. I am also solarizing the film and unevenly applying the fix. Going for an alternative process/ experimental kinda look. I seem to not be getting the same results I got last time I did this... I am experimenting with a couple different developers, but I think my main problem here is that a lot of the film is a bit underexposed. So in order to get a good image I have to leave the film in the developer for a long time and some of the blacks aren't as dark as I would like them to be. I'm not using a clear, but I never really have. I'm going for a really textured kind of rough look with this film.

Any tips on processing the current black and white underexposed tri x as a negative? Any links to any good online resources to hand processing? Anyone else had similar issues?

theres a guy on the YT who did exactly what you want on 16mm film.
it seemes to work out well but he sent it to a lab for processing. you may get some useful info anyway.

First time testing of Kodak's Tri-X 16mm film (type 7266) developed as negative. Film was overexposed by 2/3rds of a stop or 100ASA tungsten.

Camera used was a Bell & Howell Filmo 70DR

Tri-X when processed as a negative is rated at 100asa, so your film is underexposed by a stop. so you have to push process it. If you're digitizing the film you can improve the blacks with the colour timing software.
