Nalcom Cameras
Any opinions on the Nalcom FTL camera? I know it's one of the only super8's with a c-mount lense. can anybody give me some insight into the features, pros, and cons?
thanks

I need info too!
Hi "Guest"!
To be honest, I don't know very much about this camera, even though I've got one myself. I thought the lens was removable, but still I haven't managed to find out how.
You can read some tech-info about the cameras here:
http://www.kolumbus.fi/puistot/n.htm
:?: I too have some questions about this camera:
- How do I remove the lense (if I can)?
- Which model is my camera?
- What does the twisting button on the side tell? (red arrow)
(See images of my camera below)

Nalcom
The rotatable aluminium knob should have a black alumium insert with the frames/sec marked on it.
Lenses are screw lenses: Nalcom made an adaptor to take 35 mm lenses.

I still can not figure out how to unscrew the lense. Could you please give me some suggestions? Thanks!

The damned thing won't go off!
I'm loosing skin pieces and getting cut for twisting as hard as I do
... Are you sure this exact model (see pictures above) can do this? Or is there a secret knob somewhere... I don't want to break it either.

Nalcom
Andreas,
Sorry, mine looked the same but was a Professional series model. There was no secret button. The lens just unscrewed.
What you need is a manual!

Nalcom lenses
On the Nalcom Professional 1000, the lens unscrewed and left a 58 mm thread. Nalcom produced 42 to 58 mm adaptor rings for 35 mm camera lenses.

Your twisting button on the side if for setting different frame rates. Usually 36, 18, 24.
