Other people having problems with Filmshooting.com?

Post by richard p. t. »

At least fromy my perspective in Australia, I find that Filmshooting.com is only 'up' and available 1 time in 4 that I try to access it. Are other people having this problem? This is not just on the same computer, but also on other computers, and on my phone, etc..

Right this moment?

After the vacation disruption everything is fine again.
From my perspective :) The Netherlands that is. Fibre to the home, ADSL elsewhere or otherwise.

Although there were some difficulties with URLs in thread to other threads.
Also images in classifieds weren't available.
Haven't retested these yet.
Kind regards,

André

Hi,

when I enter "filmshooting.com" at the moment, I'll end up on page with this html-code:

Code: Select all

<html>
<body>
Nothing here!
</body>
</html>
When I enter "www.filmshooting.com", I'll get directly forwarded to "forum.filmshooting.com" at the moment...

There are some new DNS features...
filmshooting.com gives you nothing here
http://www.filmshooting.com defaults to the phpbb forum.

The portal page is out of focus :)
I suppose most regulars don't use that page much.
Kind regards,

André

I check in to "filmshooting" at least once a day and have experienced no problems. Must be Australia. Oh well everything is upside down in downunder land. --J.S.

No problems from Hawaii but it did ask me to change my password the last time I logged in. That's the first time I've been asked to do that since I joined the forum.

At everyone claiming to have no problems: Can you access any other part of filmshooting-dot-com other than this forum? E.g. the "news", the "featured films", ...? The only thing that works for me is the forum!

That's how http://www.filmshooting.com/ used to look like: http://web.archive.org/web/201107110018 ... oting.com/
Now I'll always get directly forwarded to this forum...

There shouldn't be any problems with only using http://filmshooting.com because it points to the same destination as www.filmshooting.com and forum.filmshooting.com do. However, we did a recent DNS change and it may simply be that you're stuck with old DNS data.

If you're on Windows, you could try and open a command window and type: ipconfig /flushdns

The main site has temporarily been taken down while I work on a new version. The forum is the only thing available currently and it's by far the most popular part of filmshooting (at least for now - but look forward to what's coming).

well filmshooting.com still brings us to nothing here.

My router refers to OpenDNS

Looking forward to a new portal.

One would hope there is a better new user system as these spammers do not seem to relent and always find a purpose and a hole to nag the existing users. Although this would be a phpBB feature.
Kind regards,

André

That's weird since openDNS's cachecheck shows the correct and new IP of the host filmshooting.com worldwide:
