RAW got to be a superb capture format?

Post by S8 Booster »

just toying with the Sigma SD14 and captured the images below - originally X3F. as seen there is very dark areas in the middle.

now, there is a simple fill light function in the menu and the improvement is huge. seems like the flexibility in post corrections may be very good with the RAW format so i though it may be an option for the transfer freaks?
there are many other post corrections available as well of course.
anyone tried it?
