I have been reading some of the old posts about C mounts on bolex RX cameras, and how they don't work, with out reculmination and a spacer. I was wondering if just a spacer would work, just for fooling around, and how many MM it would have to be . It would be easy to machine one up. It would blow the focusing marks, but I would just be foolin' , anyways
Thanks,
RG

Re: Bolex RX to plain old c
My understanding is that most "regular" C-mount lenses will mount fine on an RX; it's just that with 50mm and shorter lenses, the focus is off when you shoot below f4 or 5.6. For more info, see this article: http://www.city-net.com/~fodder/bolex/truth.html
That said, I know that some older design C-mounts (Kern incl.) are too deep to work with an RX.
