Just got my film in the mail from Kodak, and not very happy
A few minutes ago I heard a knock on the door, went out and got the package which UPS had left for me, first thing I noticed was that the box was HOT, I guess thats what you should expect in Texas, but not exactly what I want for my film.
I opened it up and all my film was there, including the 3 rolls of K40 W/ processing mailers, I opened one of the boxes to look at the mailer, it has a list of address to send it to depending what country you are in, and it doesnt have one for the US, what it does say is "KODAK PROCESSING NOT AVAILABLE IN THE UNITED STATES" which can't be right, considering they sold it to me IN the United States, I am also anoyed because it is not a seperate mailer, I called kodak just a few days ago and asked them if the mailer was seperate and if I could use it on another thing of K40 instead of the one it came with, they said I could, but now I cant, so I have a roll of K40 sitting here that has been partially shot, waiting to be sent off, and im not sure what to do with it because I dont want to have to pay for it to be processed at dwaynes, its just a test roll to test out some cameras, nothing special, nothing worth much, but I NEED to make sure these cameras work correctly before I waste any more film on them....
oh well, enough complaining from me for now :-)
anyone know what address I need to put on the mailer to use it in the US? I guess I need to call kodak.
Thanks,
Jess

Do not worry yet.
In Norway, and I guess rest of Europe we just drop the film/mailer on the desk of the nearest Kodak dealer /S8 dealer or not) . They send it to Kodak Norway which again send it to Kodak Switzerland for processing.
After it is processed it is returned and simply drops into my mailbox.
All of this is free of cost, included in the film price.
I believe the procedure will be the same at your site.
Contact Kodak for more info.

While we in the UK can post them to Kodak and they come back from Switzerland usually within a week, we do not have a Dwaynes as you do in the US. I checked their website and the service thay offer seems pretty good. Even returning original reels with standard/regular 8 film.
Unfortunately I cannot find the site address, but it is on the forum somewhere.

I simply drop off all K40 to Wallmart. There is one here in Mountain View (Silcon Valley CA) and if I remember correctly it is barley $5.00. As far as I know they outsource to Dwaynes for almost half as much. Best part it takes only one week to get your film back!
