New website for Super 8 beginners

Post by Juergen »

On August, 4th, the movie SUPER 8 (J. J. Abrams, Steven Spielberg) will start in Europe. schmalfilm magazine took this opportunity to build up a new website for Super 8 beginners. With the help of Kodak, Andec lab, screenshot transfer service and James Grahame (www.retrothing.com) we set up a website for (young) people who are interested in Super 8 moviemaking. We hope that the movie SUPER 8 will bring us some new fans for this great hobby. The page is in German and in English language. So if you know anyone who might be interested in starting with Super 8, just give him/her the following link:

This is great! I'll post on my facebook page. I wish they'd done this in the US -- an easy opportunity gone.
If I were Kodak, I'd have sent a rep in each major city around to the public schools for a free demo.

For German/Swiss/Austrian users we sell a special Super 8 starter kit for 19 euros - with one Ktachrome 100D cartridge, one processing, one HD scan on DVD and 3 issues of schmalfilm. Normal price would be 60 euros. More tahn 110 sets have already been sold within the last days. On the English language site http://www.super8film.tv there is no such offer - unfortunately... The offer was sponsored by Kodak and several other German companies like Andec, screenshot, publishing house Schiele & Schoen and atoll medien.
