Service for Leicina Super RT1

Post by hugocodi »

My Leicina stopped working... The zoom and the automatic exposure still run fine but when I press the release button nothing happens.

I was wondering if any of you guys can recommend a place where to take this camera for service preferably in the US area (Los Angeles) although I am open to send it to Europe.

Thank you so much

The guy at Spectra Lab in North Hollywood who works on cameras seemed fairly competent when I talked to him there a couple of times. I've never heard any thing negative about his work, and he was familiar with the Leicina. But I haven't actually used his services. I was having work done on a larger format camera at Super 16 Inc. so I sent my Leicina and another camera to Bernie there too. Bernie knows everthing about cameras and has a world wide reputation. You can always call him at their toll free # and explain the problem to see what he thinks. Expect to spend about $200 USD

Thank you Wade. I happen to run across John from Digitech Camera Repair in Monrovia, CA and he is taking care of the camera right now. He is being very nice and honest. So I am just hoping for the best.

Thanks again for your help.
