Workprinter HD on a mac (for both SD and HD transfers)?

Post by FamilyFilmVideoMedia »

Hi folks,

I'm looking for feedback from anyone using a Mac capturing both SD and HD through Moviestuff's Workprinter HD?

I can load windows on 1 of my macs, but not sure if that's the way to go. I'll be honest, I'm trying to cut costs while maintaining a proper workflow.

If it makes sense to buy a dedicated PC, then I will.

Cheers,
Brian

Yes, time to bring it to the video platform of choice. :D

(I'm sure no one has a response to that...)

Thanks Will. :)

I assume you mean I should use a PC?

Actually I meant a Mac... responding to your headline. Just stirring the pot.

PC's are so inexpensive now it would be easy to do a dedicated one for the Workprinter then you'd free up your Mac to do important things.

lol Ok. I hear you. I have 5 of them here so trying to avoid buying a pc, but as you mentioned, it might make sense from the point of view in setting up a dedicated area for film transfers. I still use my macs for various tape transfers and processing.

Cheers
