Eumig P8 Power Cable/ Chord

Does anyone know how to make a power cable for the P8. They are impossible to get hold of, so I figured DIY is the only option.
I saw somewhere that the original cable had the earth wrapped around the outside of the connector?
Should be possible to take a kettle lead and make a modified connector for it.

Might be possible to buy a spares or repair P8 off ebay for very little money.

I'm in London. The exact model is Eumig P8m. Ideally I wanted to test the projector to check it's working before spending more money on it, but if I can't find a way to do that I might take you up on your offer.
Could you send me a picture of the connector? I bought the thing in an old second hand shop, and maybe if I show them the picture they will realise they have the cable there (The projector came with a load of film, it's original box and reels, spare lamp etc, so I'm surprised the cable was missing).

I scrapped a Eumig P8 recently and will list the lens, together with the power lead, on eBay in a week's time, for ten days. It'll not be expensive and you can plug into my ebay stuff now by searching for a 'vintage eumig spool'. I doubt there'll be two on there ...
