Where to process Ekt 160 type G (and type A)?

Post by jackHoneycutt »

Hi Folks...

I have a couple of carts of Super8 Ektachrome 160 type G that I need processed. I also have one sound cart of Ektachrome 160 type A (Process EM-26).

Now that Rockey Mountain is in bankruptcy, I do not know where to mail this stock for processing. I perfer the US, but I will mail my film any place.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

jack

There are two places that I know of:

Film Rescue international in Canada. They specialize in long ago exposed films and poorly-stored films, as they use a modified process designed to pull out the best images.

Martin Baumgarten at Plattsburgh Photographic Services in upstate NY. He would be better if you have newer, properly-stored stock, as I believe he uses the original EM-26 process, or the closest you can get to it. He doesn't have a website, but you can contact him via email at super8mm [at] aol.com
