I don't know where you are but I think anybody that works on Super 8 cams can handle these. The guy I take mine to took apart my R10 to check the power zoom and didn't have any comments about it being particularly difficult or troublesome.

However, to work on it, you do have to pull off that leatherette stuff and this should be handled delicately to maintain cosmetic appeal. Mine came back looking a little rough and I had him redo the reattachment of this leatherette covering. Still not perfect but passable.

Of course this is just about appearance and has nothing to do with how the camera runs, but it looks real good when it's in original factory condition. Just make sure that your tech knows this and is careful with the work involved in removing the covering and replacing it.
