Super8 camera rental

Post by Mr Blackstock »

I recently took stock of my cameras and decided to offer the reliable ones for cheap local hire. Although I can only hire to Victoria, Australian residents, I was hoping people might have a look at the website and offer some feedback on pricing, or whatever.

I do not intend to make money, and as I am not going to be filming for awhile, I want the cameras to get used, otherwise they will get all gummed up with age.

Let me know what you think,

With Super 8, I would suggest buying two of the same model and have it forever vs. spending $200 for a few days with nothing at the end of that time.

Of course you'd want to do some testing before you shoot anything important.

This is very cool of you to do. $40 a day is quite reasonable and the rent free ones can be used by kids who are just getting interested in 8mm/super 8.

Well done Mr Blackstock. I can send people to this if you like. You won't be inundated, but we often get requests for anywhere that rents at the last minute ...
cheers,
richard

Thanks for the positive feedback, I was hoping the rental pricing was close to o.k, I might make it a little cheaper for the right film maker...

And Richard, I am happy for you to let as many people as possible know, I am keen to help people get shooting, as some camera's are getting stupidly expensive these days...

cheers, Gareth
