Fujica Z600 single 8

Post by matheus2010 »

Hi :D

I've got a some Fuji R25 that I want to shoot but my camera is a bit iffy :( Basically when in auto exposure mode theneedle measures the light then slowly goes off the end of the scale, but it can be set manually. I was just wondering if metering externally is wise or is it best not to trust a camera once in this state? The lens doesn't seem too bright either but maybe that is a trait of the camera? I have a P100 also but would like to use a more substantial camera as I don't want to waste the film as i will probably never use it again after this time. :( Ideally I would like to find a Canon 518 single 8 but these seem to be pretty rare. :(

Any help will be greatly appreciated. :D

Okay I can see aperture functioning If I look though the lens so I'll risk it I think. :D

Hi,

does the camera has got a "fade in/out"-feature that got accidentally activated? Is the camera correctly set to "auto exposure" with the exposure-adjustment disabled and the shutter degree set to maximum? And is there a film in the camera (without film the exposure metre might assume either 25 or 400 ASA which might cause the needle correctly moving to one end of the scale).
Otherwise I would assume that the batteries are dead or the camera is damaged.

Good luck,
Jörg
