Happy Holidays.....I
I have not shot any film in a while and need some advice.
Looking to shoot the final 2 rolls of my Kodachrome ASA 25 daylight film. It has been refrigerated since I purchased it in October 2005 and I am confident the stock will deliver those great colors we all know and love.....and the timing is perfect...Disneyland with the kids as well as Xmas.
My question is about my Bolex K1. It has not been used in ~6 years. It has automatic exposure that operates with a battery. The battery still tests as good according to the meter on the camera but the iris seems sluggish.....if I point it at the sun it takes a couple of seconds to adjust and then when I aim it to something dark it hangs up and does takes a while to open back up and vice versa.
Excuse me for not being articulate enough for you pros but I only shoot home movies.
Should I keep "exercising" the lens by trying to point it at light and dark images or is there a way to lubricate it?
Thanks in advance.....
Peace and Happy New Year
