I love this new format for the forum but I've noticed over and over that when someone posts a photo, it ends up covering much of the message accompanying the photo. I use Netscape and haven't tried viewing on Explorer but I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this. Any clues as to what the problem is? I want to post some photos pretty soon and wanted to see if there was something I needed to do "special" to make sure the images didn't cover any of the text.
Roger
Problems posting photos? Too big?

Image size
Have noticed pictures that came out too big but not covering the text. Unfortunately I belive that this might be due to, at least, older Netscape versions.
In different web "postings" this were corrected by updating to N6-1/2 from N4.7 for the MAC.
Never understood what the problem were but it corrected with the 6.x.
Also you may try to resize the images in 2 or 3 different sizes and re-post them.

How to include photos
Unfortunatly people haven't read what I first wrote about posting photos/images in this forum. This often leads to oversized photos screwing up the design.
OK, I agree it is a bit hard to find for those who didn't read this forum from the start, but here I'll include the link:

Read and learn!

Re: Image size
This has nothing to do with browsers. The images are simply too wide.S8 Booster wrote:Have noticed pictures that came out too big but not covering the text. Unfortunately I belive that this might be due to, at least, older Netscape versions.

Hi, Andreas!
Well, not to put you on the spot, but in the "Welcome to the new General 8mm forum" thread, there is a photo that you posted that clearly is too tall and too wide and covers the text (at least on MY browswer). Was that intended as an example of how NOT to post photos or is that supposed to look okay on my browser?

Browser problem.
Andreas, never knew the 500 pix limit, sorry. Noticed.
I still believe that the problem Roger describes is mainly browser related. I experienced exactly the same at other sites with the older Netscape Browsers (4x-4.7) on the MAC. The contemporary Explorers ran OK.
It appeared as if it was due to a html? related technology update on the web servers.
My impression.

Uploading big picture files - suggestion
To not exeed the 500 pix limit it is possible to post the link only. The big image will then open in a new window which is no problem. A smaller sample image might be posted here as shown below.
