Has anyone even been in the same country let alone the same room as this baby? Probably never left the prototype lab...

It has seen in the auction of Japan several years ago.
The thing has not been seen.
Only the little number was made for the TV station in Japan.
It is a camera that I want to see!

Hi Takahiro.
So it seems that this interesting camera actually was put into production. Did you notice that they had implemented an Arriflex lens mount as per the Canon website specifications? Standard or B?
By the way I think your website is great. Do you repair Super 8 cameras locally or just for yourself . I hear there is a rather intense Super 8 and Single 8 subculture there....as in Germany.
Do you have experiencing shooting with Aaton Minima, Eclair ACL, CP16, etc? What do find the best overall physically? i.e. center of gravity, viewfinder, etc.

I've owned an Aaton for 11+ years. They are great cameras if you can justify owning a camera that needs service every other year for 1500 bucks.
Don't buy a Super16 camera because you think that instead of shooting S8 you can now be shooting S16.
If you are itching to shoot 16 buy a Filmo, Bolex, Scoopic. They are cheap and if something happens you can throw it away and buy another.
Good Luck

Hi,
Canon Systema Sound is ARRI Bayonet.
Japanese TV station museum site---
http://www.nhk.or.jp/museum/book/kiki100sen08.html
About 16mm camera...
If I use it by work, it is a camera of ARRI.
The viewfinder of ARRI 416 is really wonderful.
I think that AATON is a wonderful camera.
It is troublesome that the stock of the "A-Minima film" is a little in Japan.
ACL was used in the school days.
It is light and is easy to use it.
However, it doesn't meet the one well now.
Thank you for visited my site.
The request of the repair increased recently.
There is no new product of 8mm camera.
I want to repair a lot of cameras!
