OT: stepping up

Post by istvan »

Hi, while on set yesterday I got a phone from my home country Norway, telling me the news of getting accepted to the Norwegian Filmschool - on the cinematography course, so now I´m one of the lucky six who get admitted every other year, looking forward to play around with s16, prime zeiss´s (and hopefully) some 35 for the next three years, boy do I barely hold my shit!

So, I just wanna thank everybody who´s contributed to this great forum, and do keep on shooting s8 (or any other smallgaugething, for that matter), for all the inspiration. I would never have learned how to handle s8, make the films I´ve done, and, consequently, get in to this school, so fast if not for sites like this one (which is my prefered one, of course...).

So keep up this excellent community!
(I won´t disappear either, neither will I stop doing s8).

Wow Istvan!
That is absolutely great! I've seen films they've made and they're smashing.

Congratulations!

(And if you should need any super8 related services, you know where to find me  )

Cheers! (Where's the beer icon???)

Congradulations Istvan - it's a great school from what I've heard (as is the Danish National Film School)

I too am studying Film BA as a Director next year, so I will be shooting lots of Super16 for the next 3 years :) I am super happy about that. I will be able to Direct a few (hopefully superb) shorts without having to Produce on a silly budget and work towards becoming a feature Director. Hurrah!

Again - thanks so much Andreas and all the contributors!
