As far as I can tell, all the four digit XXXX sound Nizo's take the same battery holder. Find a donor camera on Ebay.de for five or ten Euros... plus postage.

Do you mean AA batteries? If not, just get a AAA to AA adaptor, but you'll need six of them.

Like in medicine... "Organ Donor"... The patient (camera) donating the organ (battery holder) has expired, died (is broken). In other words it doesn't matter of the camera works or not. Ignore the "Sold As Is", "untested" , or "not tested" or "not guaranteed" working... as long as the battery holder is clean, solid, and not falling apart. Like a vulture, you can scavenge the camera for meaty parts like the rubber eye cup, lens hood, filter, and leather strap.

Hi,

a) The Nizo 40xx/60xx normally comes with the rechargeable batterypack where you can't replace the 6 AA batteries. So you'll have to find another "donor":
http://super8wiki.com/index.php/Nizo_4056
"You can replace the "rechargeable-battery-box" with the battery-box from the Nizo "S"-Series and/or "Nizo "Professional". The later ones can be opened without any problems, hence you can replace the rechargable batteries with newer ones."
b) If you search this board, you should find instructions on how to open the "unopenable" batteryback, so that you can replace the batteries nevertheless. As your batterypack doesn't seem to work any more, trying to open it can't do much damage ;)

There's no mystery to the Nizo 4XXX/6080 battery pack--it's just loaded with six nicad AA's. Use the one you've got.

They're all the same, and they all take 6 AA's (true of early Nizos like the S8? Not sure.) The only difference is that the akku-paks for the 6080 have a little two-pronged jack for the Nicad charger. But they will all interchange.

To open it, just take a pair of pliers and carefully unscrew the two plastic threaded thingies counter-clockwise. They might be covered with a spot of glue, but they will come open. From now on you can use your fingers to unscrew them.

Just keep note of how the batteries go in. The spring ends are the negative terminals. Be careful or they can and will break off, eventually. Then it's a pain to fix them back in place.

With silent cartridges, it's OK to use alkalines with the 6080. So the older Nizo battery holder will work well.

Don't use pliers on plastic knobs when they still glued to the box. These knobs will likely break apart and at least the grip surface will be ruined. And then you are done.

Use google on this : bladed knife site:filmshooting.com

And find these and read them:
