For no apparent reason my projector is not properly feeding the film through. it seems to go down past the lens just fine and then on the first turn it jams and backs up. any ideas why this might be happening?
thanks,

Projector problem
Hi.
Do not know your projector but on many other there is a film loop controlling device that must be activated by initial threading of the film This is usually a manual handle that hase to be activated until the film recaches the pickup reel.
Look for an external handle to activate around the film port area and check it out. Some projectors do this automatically while some has to be set manually at a "start" point before you start threading the film.
Anyway, check it out.
Also look for bent or tightly curved film leader tip. My experience is that a straight film leader works best.
RGDS.
