I saw Children Of Men a couple of nights ago and I was overwelhemed by the cinematography. As most of you might know, the narative is set in the near future (2027) women have become infertile and most countries in the world are on the verge of collapse. The DP, Emmanuel Lubezki did an excellent job. The style he used was a bit documentury but significantly steadier which only made it more pleasing to watch. It was refreshing to see Emmanuel Lubezki break lose from conventional camera work and as far as I remember there was not one single close up featured through out the film. The film looked very natural, sugesting that a lot of it was filmed using natural light so I'm not all that suprised that it was filmed of vision2 expression 500t. There are also plenty of long scenes at are uncut and they run anywhere from 2-7 minutes and all of them looked amazing and felt very realistic.
Well these are my thoughts about the picture, please share yours!
