S8 videotap clip from TROYMOTION

Post by Justin Lovell »

Hey,

My latest film, TROYMOTION is soon to be released... Shot on plus-x s8 cross processed as a neg. Camera- beaulieu 4008zmII.

Here's a clip from the video tap that I temporarily rigged together using a QVCvideo.com video camera (http://www.qvcvideo.com/main/products/? ... 45&bcat=94 - not the exact one, but similar) with my scanport sp500 digital video recorder box (has a 2.5" lcd screen and video IN recording to DIVX for immediate playback).

Not quite perfected, but did the trick to make framing easier for fast paced running/handheld work.

That's pretty cool. Even though it is not a very good image, it at least gives you and idea of what you shot. I would like to see a side by side comparison of the video tap and the final film clip!

Pictures of videotap setup?

Post by Mafishus »

Are you willing to post pictures of your videotap setup with the 4008 ZMII? I've been trying to figure out how to do something similar with my camera (4008). Thanks!

I'll see what I can do.

I'm looking for a machinist right now to create a proper threading for the camera and the video tap. Once I get that sorted out, I'll post. (I'm using gaffer tape and elastics to hold it in place right now... :D
