The Thomas Crown Affair

I bought the $9.99 DVD of The Thomas Crown Affair last week and found that in one scene Faye Dunaway is photographing Steve McQueen with what appears to be a Canon Scoopic. Upon closer examination (isn't instant scene access wonderful?) I decided it was the Scoopic DS8.

In the director's commentary Norman Jewison incorrectly identifies it as a Bolex. Sad that a big time Oscar winning movie director doesn't know his cameras. Oh, well. That's the DP's job I guess.

Absolutely wonderful movie by the way. Much better than the Pierce Brosnan re-make.
