Nizo S-Series 1.35V mercury batteries

Post by Lunar07 »

I remembered tonight that I was using button cells 1.35 V mercury for a spot meter that I used to have. These were Varta batteries. Then I discovered tonight that Varta does not produce (or planning to stop production) of these batteries.
Then using Google I discovered the following:

This does not sound bad. Maybe after all my dream of getting the Nizo 801 Macro is not dead.

Hi Lunar.
Save money, try this link http://www.rolleiclub.nl/batt-adapt-US.pdf

I use them on my Nizo 801macro, they work perfectly.

Thanks Tim and Giovanni -
I can see now why Nizo opted for mercury cells in the S-series. But it looks like using something like Nizo 801 Macro is not a dead end with the info I am finding now.
