hama is out

i've just got info that hama is cancelling production of super8 equipment from one of its distributors. i hope it's not true, cause its only supplier of super8 accesorries in my country... hmm.

hama is a german brand. Who/where did you get that info from? afaik they stopped producing super 8 equipment years ago:)

I don't know anything about this news, but I can confirm they have produced super8 stuff up till this date.

We sell splicing tape and filmcement from them here.

According to their webpage they're still producing splicers, splicing tape, reels, ... for super8. Hence they've even got a "Schmalfilm"/"Substandard film"-section on their products page:

I concur that Hama still produces super 8. If fact, Spectra just became U.S. distributor for their film products. They will sell Hama and Wurker splice tape (and Hama splicers) in bulk at discounted rates for those who wish to be dealers (or get a break on price for some personal projects).
