eumig mark s 802 problem

Post by El Jeffe »

I just got myself a eumig mark s 802 and it seems that it won't run in 24fps. The switch is functioning and moving but I see no increase in the running speed. I can't find any manuals for it online and wanted to see if anyone had a similar problem before I started pulling it apart.

on a good note my lens came in perfect condition on this one compared to the 610D I got.

any info would be appreciated!

thanks jeff

There is a rubber coated metal disc inside which is part of the drive mechanism and this often slips, clean this with medical alcohol. I did this with mine and it improved the running speed at 24fps.

Open the projector and see if the switch and the small drive wheel on the motor are still connected. If not, you must fix this, of cource.

And yes, cleaning the rubber disc is always a good idea.

I have an Eumig Mark S807 D that have a similar problem. At 18fps it runs for a few frames and then just stops. It runs fine at 24fps.
Do you think I could fix it the same way?

Yes,

In your case, it's slip for sure.
You must also clean the small drive wheel.
(I hope the rubber is OK?)
