I guess as old folks get older, they sometimes decide NOT to take their secrets to the grave with them.
Maybe Oliver Stone was not all that wrong afterall, eh?

Who knows? I think my friend's theory is as good as anyone's. He maintains that there were so many people that hated Kennedy and wanted him dead that there could have been as many as a dozen rifles pointed at him that day, all unknowing about the competition to knock him off. Now THAT would make an interesting film.

Oh, he didn't mean it, literally. He was simply making fun of the "lone assassin" theory.Dr_Strange_Love wrote:The problem with you friend's theory is that why would so many people try to kill him on that very same day? JFK was in the public all the time, so why would everyone just decide to kill him on one particular day?

Good point, maybe Rogers friend is right except that they all knew about the others and that it was in fact a competition to see who could shoot him first.Dr_Strange_Love wrote:The problem with you friend's theory is that why would so many people try to kill him on that very same day? Hey maybe it was a competition between the guys from cuba, the cia, the fbi, and whoever else came for the ride. Maybe ALL the conspiracy theores are right!

Interesting tie in with the "Munich" thread:
The filmmaker who made this Kennedy assassination piece is Wilfried Huismann, a long-established and respected German documentarist who, among other projects, created the original Munich documentary that provides source materials for all succeeding films:

The theory of this new film is so laughable, I wouldn't be surprised to find that CIA money was involved with its production!
- Oswald was given a parafin test after being arrested less than two hours after the shooting which showed he had NOT fired a rifle.
- Oswald's rifle was of such cheap and poor quality, the FBI had to admit they had to install THREE shims before they could even align the scope so they could hit a target with it. It was also set up for a left handed person, Oswald was right handed.
- Oswald was a horrible marksman. He barely passed his qualification on the rifle in the Marines, and his fellow soldiers remembered how sometimes he would completely miss the target...
So we are to believe that the Cubans hired a CIA agent (which Oswald was in addition to working for the FBI and Customs) and that they sought out little Lee with his Carcano piece of shit to do the job with???
The most ridiculous thing about it is that Castro wasn't crazy enough to give the military industrial complex of the USA any reason to invade Cuba which the military, the CIA and NSA all were pressuring Kennedy to do just that but which Kennedy had refused and was making headway into restoring relations with Cuba and the Soviet Union.
Kennedy got killed, the military got its ground war (Vietnam, thanks LBJ) and left Cuba alone. And then the CIA and FBI went about covering it all up. A really dark time for America that we have never recovered from nor will we until the government can be held accountable for what it does.

It is all discussed before. Also on this forum.- Oswald's rifle was of such cheap and poor quality, the FBI had to admit they had to install THREE shims before they could even align the scope so they could hit a target with it. It was also set up for a left handed person, Oswald was right handed.

The JFK film is FICTION. The only accurate things are that it plays in Dallas and the President was murdered.
The rifle was an excellent high velocity military weapon.
Oswald was an excellent marksman. His US Marines scorebook is still available to check and shows his marksmanship.
BTW the distance was only 60-70 yards. Firing the shots is the time frame as recorded by the police tape is easy and a man in his 80's showed that he can do that.
Kind regards,
André
