Happy New Year everyone. The Independent Film Guild (IFG) is finally up and running. For those of you who don't know what it is, it is a database website similar to IMDB that is specifically made for amateur and independent filmmakers.

To kick off the new year, sign up for a "FREE" account and get immediately upgraded to a "PRO ACCOUNT" absolutely free! Offer ends 01/02/06 11:51am est.

Check out some of the films added yesterday:

Their site only has info about one film, produced and distributed by themselves. That's a little too indy for me.

last i checked the imdb contained thousands of indie films. anyything that has been screened publically in theaters, including festivals, or on tv, or otherwise released and distributed can be submitted. i don't see the need for another one.
