Anybody have any good sources for such a part? (Or have a Bauer C2A available for parts?) The handle on this contains the batteries, and the plastic lip just above the battery cap finally gave out. Bah!
Thanks.
Need a replacement grip/handle for Bauer C2A

Hi,
this seems to be a common problem with Bauer-cameras
Wittner is selling a "Batteriefachdeckel" for the BAUER S 715 XL
and S 709 XL - but I don't know if this will be of help:

Good luck,
Jörg
P.S.: You should contact some repair shops, too:

Bauer C2A
Hi mercyboy,
it is a common problem with elder Bauer-cameras (with "leather-skin").
I bought three of the C2A's and only the last one had no mistakes.
I have two battery caps for replace, but I think the problem is the plastic lip in the grip that fixes the cap. This lip is broken at two of my C2A's and cannot fix the cap any more. One of them has an iron wire with a steel cap to fix it. But this is not a satisfying solution.
The costs for repair will be higher than another camera. C2A's are often to buy at ebay.de, for my last one I paid less than 10 Euro and it is in top condition.
Regards from Dallgow

Thanks for the replies. As suspected, it is the actual handle lip that is broken and not the battery cover...which makes repair nearly impossible. But it looks like somebody posted their solution for a similar problem on a different camera here previously (http://puisto.org/kaita/rakenteluimages/Kahva4.jpg). Maybe I'll try that since I have a glass maple syrup bottle with a similar lid closure that just might fit! Inthe meantime, I'll look for another camera on ebay....but I've already bonded with this one so it's a sad thing to have to do!
